History & Hops

Date: July 22, 2021

Beer has been brewed, studied, and enjoyed for roughly 7,000 years around the world. Learn about its unique history in New England through an educational lecture by local historian, Dennis Picard. Admission includes a drink from the Sam Adams Beer Garden! Lecture is scheduled to run 40-50 minutes, with entry to the Beer Garden, featuring live music, to follow. The Sam Adams Beer Garden is open 4:30pm-9:30pm, Thursday-Saturday, through the summer.

Event drink ticket is good for one (1) free beverage and must be redeemed by 9:30pm on July 22, 2021. Attendees must be 21+ to redeem their drink ticket for an alcoholic beverage at the Sam Adams Beer Garden. Non-alcoholic beverages are available, as well. As the Beer Garden is entirely outside, please dress accordingly for the weather. In the event of extreme weather that results in the temporary closure of the Beer Garden, the event will be canceled and refunds issued.
