Blacksmith Collective

In 2017 Storrowton Village Museum launched its first Blacksmith Collective, an event centered around the artistry and skill in this historic trade that still exists in the 21st century. Volunteer blacksmiths are stationed outside the Greenwich Barn and in the Clark Blacksmith Shop for on-going demonstrations from medieval time to the 21st century

ABOUT BLACKSMITH COLLECTIVE

Blacksmith Collective is featured in conjunction with SVM's Summer Solstice Celebration Saturday, June 19, from 10-4pm. Advance tickets for all Summer Solstice Celebration events, including Blacksmith Collective are $12 for ages 6+, $15 on the day of the event, under 6 free.

Blacksmiths will have items for sale for hand forged items made by our volunteer blacksmiths. 100% of the proceeds will benefit Storrowton Museum’s education programs. The Shops at Storrowton, Storrowton Tavern, and the Samuael Adams Beer Bistro will be open.

Hand-forged Silent Auction

Storrowton Village Museum (SVM) is grateful for the dedication of a small group of volunteer blacksmiths who not only are the public faces of blacksmithing in the Clark Blacksmith Shop, but also spend upwards of 100 hours or more annually behind the scenes creating hand-forged items for sale and auction to benefit our year-round educational programs at the Village.

During Summer Solstice Celebration the items below will be available for auction. Silent auction bids will be accepted in-person starting June 19, 2021 at 10am, located adjacent to the event registration area outside the Museum Gift Shop (inside Gift Shop in the event of inclement weather) and the auction will close at 3pm on the same day. Auction winners do not need to be present at the conclusion of the auction, but must pick up items in person, no shipping is available. Auction winners must pick up items and submit payment by Tuesday, June 22, 2021. The auction results will be shared on Facebook Live. If payment is not made by June 22 at 4pm, the next highest bidder will be contacted.
