Opening Day marks the start of Storrowton’s summer season. The Village is made up of 12 antique buildings including a Meetinghouse, Schoolhouse,Blacksmith Shop, Law Office, Mansion, General Store and a Farmhouse, all located on the grounds of Eastern States Exposition.
The family-friendly day will feature games on the Village green and hands-on activities, such as gardening, quill pen writing and carding, spinning and weaving. A knowledgeable staff of costumed volunteers is on hand to guide visitors through the Village and answer questions. Additional demonstrations include blacksmithing in the Clark Blacksmith Shop and open hearth cooking in the Gilbert Farmhouse. Admission is free and hours are from 11-3pm.
