Location: Greenwich Barn & Back Green

Blacksmithing is the ancient art of forging objects from iron. Learn about its history through demonstrations and an educational lecture by Storrowton's master blacksmith, John Richard. Each of the three demonstrators will be representing different points in the history of blacksmithing, using a wood forge (1500-1600s), a portable coal forge (late 1800s), and a modern gas forge.

Admission includes a drink and a bottle opener hand-forged by Storrowton's own blacksmiths. The lecture & demonstrations are scheduled to run about 40 minutes with time for questions after.

Event drink ticket is good for one (1) free beverage and must be redeemed on July 15, 2022. Attendees must be 21+ to redeem their drink ticket for an alcoholic beverage. Non-alcoholic beverages are also available. As the event will be entirely outside, please dress accordingly for the weather.
